If you were to play all 4 daily Sudoku puzzles you should be able to get a maximum of 50 points a day. In viewing the top 10 list though I noticed the person at the top is getting 120+ points a day. Apparently there is a way to get other scores in the game I am not aware of. Can someone enlighten me please on how the scoring works?
Thanks,
Robert

I think the help file says:
"At the end of the day the 5 players who submitted the fastest completion times on the daily puzzles will receive extra bonus points (from 1 to 5):
EASY: 15, 10, 5, 3, 1
MEDIUM: 20, 15, 10, 5, 2
HARD: 30, 20, 15, 10, 5
GENIUS: 50, 40, 30, 20, 10"
So, it's probably possible to get 165 points in one day.

I just don't understand why I get Zero points so often for puzzles done the right day.

1.0.10
I haven't kept close track, but I'm guessing that over 50% of my same-day submissions come back zero points.

I also frequently get 0 points for a completed game on the same day. I am on 1.0.9

Is there anywhere to see the top scores beyond the top ten?

Are you sure you get zero points? I see this when there is a communication error, and I try again and it says ZERO points. However, my points actually accumulate by the correct amount.
My big question is "how fast do you have to solve a puzzle to be in the top five"? There is nothing to indicate where you stand on this.
It is almost pointless to start out going against a top ten where they all have tens of thousands of points. How about letting a user know where they finished on the daily puzzles? A daily top ten? Weekly?

I like kelmentz'a idea. I've been working my way up the leader board - now have over 8300 points and am in the top 1000. But I'd really like to know how I did each day.

This may be a couple of years or so late, but it is actually possible, in theory, to score 175 points in one day. Here's how:
If puzzles from a previous day are submitted today, 4 for Genius, 3 for Hard, 2 for Medium, and 1 for Easy for a total of 10 points.
For today's puzzles, 20 for Genius, 15 for Hard, 10, for Medium, and 5 for Easy for a total of 50 points.
For fastest times for today's puzzles, 50 for Genius, 30 for Hard, 20 for Medium, and 15 for Easy for a total of 115 points.
Summary: 10 + 50 + 115 = 175 points.
Later.
